The Babus of Calcutta were the high class; rich Bengali people during the late 18th & 19th centuries who came into being as a result of intimate interaction with the British in Calcutta. They were known for their lavish lifestyle. To main their high standard often they imports Italian marbles to create floors of the rooms as well as the balcony.
